The pricing model, side by side
The number that matters is not the monthly rate — it is what you pay across a whole job hunt, and whether the charges stop when you land the role. Most of the category is a subscription that renews until you remember to cancel.

Prices are each tool's entry commitment as advertised in July 2026 and may have changed since. The point is the model, which changes slowly: five of the six renew until cancelled.
Where each rival is the better choice
None of these tools is bad. They are built for different jobs, and if your job is one of theirs, use theirs.
If you are running a long search and want one place to track every application through to offer, Teal's tracker is the strongest in the category. CV Aligner deliberately has no account and no tracker, so it cannot do this.
If you need beautifully designed templates and are building a CV from scratch, Enhancv's design and template library are excellent. CV Aligner reframes the CV you already have; it is not a template-driven builder.
If you specifically want per-ATS guidance — detecting the exact applicant tracking system on a posting — that is Jobscan's distinctive feature. CV Aligner does not read any employer's ATS and says so plainly.
If you want a browser extension that saves jobs and autofills applications as you browse, Huntr's extension is a genuine strength with a large user base.
If you would rather pay once for a lifetime licence to a full resume builder, Rezi's $149 lifetime option is the closest thing to no-subscription in the builder category.
Where CV Aligner is the better choice
Use CV Aligner when you have a CV and a specific job, and you want three things the subscriptions above don't combine:
1. You pay once, and nothing renews
A single application is £9.99, three are £19, ten are £39, valid for 90 days. There is no account and no stored card, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing that can charge you the month after you get hired.
2. Every verdict is traced to a line of your own CV
For each requirement in the job, you see whether your CV already makes it clear, buries it, or doesn't evidence it — with the exact CV line behind the verdict. A free chat window will rewrite your CV, but it won't show you which of your real lines proves each requirement, and it will happily invent one that doesn't exist.
3. It reframes what you can prove, and won't invent what you can't
Employers, dates and numbers in your text are read-only. Where you genuinely lack evidence, it says gap rather than fabricating a claim you would have to defend at interview. Honest tailoring you can stand behind — not impressive fiction you can't.
